BERT FARRISH,
CEO and PRESIDENT
Mr. Bert Farrish has joined Everton after over four years with the
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) where he served as Deputy
Administrator for Commodity Operations for the Farm Service Agency. In that
role he was responsible for the administration of the bio-energy program which
fostered the growth of both the ethanol and bio-diesel production. Other
responsibilities included the administration of the dairy price support
program, administration of the United States Warehouse Act (USWA), maintenance
of posted county prices for program crops, and the acquisition and logistics
for domestic and international food aid programs.
Mr. has been active in the U.S. grain industry for over 30 years in a
variety of roles. Prior to service in the Bush Administration Mr. Farrish was
with Columbia Grain, Inc. in Portland, Oregon for twenty one years serving as
its President for five years. He has also been active on numerous grain trade
related boards and task forces.
Mr. Farrish is native of Mississippi and attended Mississippi State
University where he earned a B.S. degree in agricultural engineering technology
and business in 1972.
